An immersive brand photography and videography project documenting the rhythm, beauty, and feeling of a floral retreat held on the shores of Lake Como, Italy.
I was invited to photograph and film each day of the Evolve retreat to give future attendees a clear sense of what was included and what it felt like to be there. From quiet mornings by the water to full creative days, this was about capturing the experience as a whole.
To be invited to Italy, a long-held dream destination of mine, to document a floral retreat felt surreal. Just one year earlier, I had shared a dream of working in Italy on Instagram. Nadine remembered that moment and thought of me when Evolve began to take shape.
Evolve brought together florists and flower growers from around the world for a deeply immersive retreat. Over the week, participants explored floral design, visited a flower farm, hand-dyed silks with plant dyes, shared long meals, and spent time on the lake. Alongside the creative work were sessions focused on business, meditation, mindfulness, and photography, including a phone photography workshop I taught.

the process
My role was to document the retreat as it unfolded, capturing both stills and video each day with a focus on atmosphere and connection rather than perfection.
The retreat was held at a 400-year-old, family-owned property set directly on Lake Como, with gardens, flowing freshwater, and a private jetty. We also visited surrounding gardens and iconic locations for inspiration, allowing the visuals to expand beyond the retreat space while staying grounded in its intention.
The result is brand photography and videography that reflects creativity, connection, and the quiet luxury of time and space to create.

WOW!!!! The images & videos Honey created for me during our Floral Retreat in Lake Como Italy were amazing.
