Brenner Lowe
Real, feminine, flowing.
A collection of brand photography and video created to reflect Brenner’s deep connection to nature, and how the natural world shapes her worldview, creative practice, and the projects she brings into the world.
This brand photography and videography shoot was a dream. Brenner asked me to approach the work in the same way I approach my personal projects, often shot on 35mm film. Feminine, dreamy, and flowing, with a quiet nod to Picnic at Hanging Rock.
Brenner chose to work with me because of my personal work rather than my usual client portfolio, which for any creative is a true gift. She trusted me to create imagery that felt honest rather than polished.
At the time of the shoot, Brenner was launching The Conservation Collage Project. While hesitant to show her face, she knew that personal branding photography and video would help support a project she felt deeply passionate about. Together, we created imagery that felt grounded, safe, and aligned with her values.

the process
The conversation for this shoot began years earlier via Instagram, with Brenner often responding to my more raw, nature-led personal work. A newsletter announcing I would be travelling to North Queensland prompted her to reach out.
We began the process by grounding the shoot in descriptive language and a shared Pinterest board filled with earthy, raw portrait references. From there, we chose two locations that felt deeply connected to her sense of place. Her tropical backyard, and Emerald Creek, a location she loves for its eerie, otherworldly feel.
We started the day at her beautiful Queenslander-style home, surrounded by tropical trees. Being in her space allowed me to understand her creative rhythm, her workspace, and the way she moves through the world. We set up a simple sheet as a loose backdrop near the banana trees and captured a series of natural, playful portraits using soft light and minimal direction.
Later, we drove an hour to Mareeba, arriving at a completely different landscape. Dry bushland, white-trunked gum trees, and a glowing creek cutting through the earth. I spent hours photographing and filming Brenner immersed in the landscape, eventually wading into the water as the sun dropped below the trees.
Eerie, magical, and surreal.
A brand photography and videography project rooted in place, presence, and trust.
“Relaxed, fun, and perfectly captured”
I had one of the best days of my life with Honey! She was incredibly in tune with who I am as a person and so knew exactly how to capture my photograph. I was relaxed, we laughed endlessly, Honey provided prompting and instruction the whole time, and I've come away with 50 photographs that I love! Highly recommend!!
