Last year I worked on my first book shoot with Compostable Kate and our connection was instantaneous. With both have high energy and zest for life and I think that shows in the images we captured together.

Kate's book 'The Compost Coach’ is a treasure trove of comprehensive insights into a topic that often confuses many – composting. This book is such an invaluable resource is a no-nonsense guide that delves deep into the subject matter whilst also being beautiful and inspiring.

I can confirm Kare is next-level nuts about composting and worms - just in case you thought it was just an Instagram ‘show’. She’s real and I swear she could convince anyone to start composting.

the process

Our collaboration saw us tackling an intensive 5-day shooting session often doing long days whilst trying to balance young kids and other work commitments. But we did it and I’m so proud!

the launch

To build anticipation for Kate's book pre-sales, we crafted a short and vibrant social media clip to be used as a teaser. It showcases Kate with the printed book and incorporates snippets of video captured during our book photoshoot.

“dream team”

Honey and I make a dream team (if I may say so myself). I’ve never seen compost looking more magical than in Honey’s photos, and that’s saying something because I always think compost looks magical! Hopefully there's book number two and we can recreate the magic again.
