Meet & Greet

Whilst enjoying a cup of tea/coffee and freshly baked cake we’ll find out a little more about each other.

Technical Info

We'll spend an hour covering phone camera basics to ensure you fully understand what your phone can do.

Photoshoot 1

We'll start to practice everything we've learnt in the theory session. Shooting set-up scenes - Product-focused + People-focused options.

 

Lunch

A sit-down lunch with home-cooked food (locally sourced where possible). Our change to eat and chat about our businesses and life.

Photoshoot 2

A chance to refine your learning and ask more questions. Shoot the setup scenes and experiment with shooting a self-portrait.

Photo Editing

Whilst enjoying a glass of wine you’ll learn how to edit photos like a pro. You’ll be able to see a live view of me editing photos on a screen.

You’re interested in creating simple photos setups that are authentic and not heavily styled.

You are genuinely motivated to create some of your own content.

You have realistic goals about what you can achieve on your own. I don’t capture content that could be on the cover of a magazine every time I take a photo. But you can be sure that you’ll be able to capture clean, clear, professional content and get your point across.

You understand you’re in this for the long game, your photos will improve with practice and you’ll always need photos for your business so let’s keep learning together :)

Location and Travel

I’m based on the New South Wales Sapphire Coast and run in-person phone photography workshops throughout the Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, and Monaro regions. I’m always open to travelling further afield – whether it’s a short drive or a weekend away. I’m happy to provide a custom quote for workshops hosted in other regions.

Frequently asked questions

  • This course is for both Android and iPhone.

  • Any model can be used, but the newer model phones really do make a difference in quality when you’re trying to capture your own business content. Note - I didn’t say the very newest model, but I’d say the last 3 models of whatever is currently out would be great bench mark. When you start going back 5+ years the quality just isn’t here in these phone cameras.

  • Morning tea, lunch, drinks and take-home workbook.

  • The workshop runs from 10am-4pm over one day.

  • I’ve been a professional full-time photographer for around 20 years, after having completed a Bach in Photography (+ I’ve been using a camera since early high school!). I’ve been teaching photography students how to use their cameras and phone cameras for over 10 years with in person workshops based in Townsville, Sydney and the Far South Coast.

  • Yes! If you can’t make it to an in-person session, I’ve created an online version of my workshop that you can do anytime, from anywhere. The Online Phone Photography Course for Business Owners, is designed to help you start taking beautiful, brand-aligned photos right away – no fancy equipment needed.
